Where Do I Stand

Privacy

Your privacy

We collect as little as we can. This page explains what we store, where, and why. It is written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind.

In short

  • No accounts. You never give us your name.
  • No tracking cookies.
  • We never sell data.
  • Any statistics we publish are aggregate only. They never identify a person.

Your answers, in your browser

Your answers are saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can come back and finish later. They stay on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Anonymous answers for statistics

When you finish, you can choose to share your answers anonymously. This box is ticked by default, and you can untick it.

If you leave it ticked, we store your answers and, if you give them, your age range, gender and postcode. We use these only for aggregate statistics, such as how views differ by age.

No names, email addresses or IP addresses are stored with your answers. The data is held in a database in Australia (Supabase, Sydney region).

Share links

A share link has your answers encoded in the web address. Anyone you send it to, or who sees it, can see your answers. Only share it with people you are happy to show.

Error reports

If you report an error, we store what you type, including your email if you give it. We use your email only to reply about your report.

Access and deletion

To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, use the contact form and choose “Other / general”.

Anonymous answers are not linked to you, so we may not be able to find a single set of answers. Error reports that include your email can be found and deleted.
